HISTORY OF DEVELOPMENT

Leapers, Inc., established in Michigan, USA, is world famous for its UTG branded products for hunting and shooting sport enthusiasts. Its founder, David Ding(aka TaiLai Ding) started the business in his garage in 1992. With a vision to promote quality hunting and shooting sports, the company has built a strong professional team to develop unique products to address customer needs with special focus on product quality and service. Horizontally, UTG now offers diverse niche products across a variety of categories for one-stop shopping. Vertically, it integrates design, development, production and distribution under the same disciplined management, offering high quality products and service through numerous distribution points in the world. With its global distribution strategy while leveraging its multi-country organization for nimble R&D, it persists in its mission to serve customers worldwide with superior valueproducts and quality service.
The Leapers team is capable of R&D, design, production, testing and certification of parts and accessories on various firearm platforms to meet diverse customer requirements in outdoor hunting and shooting sport equipment. It offers over 700 hot selling products, providing solutions to upgrade or accessorize in varying environments and applications. UTG products are innovative in function and appearance, reliable in quality, practical in design, and still very reasonably priced. With the integrated US and overseas organization as the strong backbone for effective sales and marketing, supply chain management and order fulfillment operations, Leapers enjoys a great international reputation and is well recognized among government and civilian clients in many countries.
MULTI-COUNTRY LOCATIONS

The headquarters of Leapers is located in the City of Livonia of Metro Detroit in Michigan, USA, with over 150,000 square feet for business operations. Although well established in the US market, it nonetheless pays attention to customer requirements in different regions of the world. It leads product development and sets global distribution strategies for the integrated UTG organization. UTG PRO
UTG PRO, located right next to the Leapers USA Headquarters, is the 2nd manufacturing center of Leapers. Established in 2009, its shop floor runs 3 operations: a) a machine shop equipped with high precision Mazak CNC machines automated with Palletech systems, Miyano 9-axis turning and milling centers and various models of Haas machines for turnkey operations, b) a polymer injection shop with Fanuc Roboshot machines for plastic parts, and c) a professional Cerakote paint shop. The plant has been making high precision rifle handguards of various lengths, buttstocks, bipods,and many other accessories. Mostly recently, it has launched an assembly operation for mil-spec scopes, aiming to satisfy loyal customers eager for our US made optics

UTG TAIWAN
With its advanced American and European R&D experience and technology cumulated over the years, and directed by its global positioning strategy for a key world stage presence as well as the objectives for deep-rooted technical know-how and intensive innovation, Leapers UTG selected a property in the Guangyuan Science Park in Zhunan, Taiwan, and broke ground in 2016 to build a brand new plant. The entire 4 story UTG TAIWAN plant was officially completed for use in July 2018, becoming the 3rd manufacturing center for Leapers. UTG TAIWAN invested heavily in world class Japanese CNC machines, polymer injection machines and German precision inspection equipment. It devotes its resources to continuously enhancing its technical and technology capability to make high quality products that meet demanding hunting and shooting sports requirements. In 2019, it has been further given the responsibility to support sales and service of UTG branded products in the Asian-Pacific region, Middle East and Africa. It works together with the company’s integrated team, encompassing R&D, manufacturing and sales, to promote the excellent enterprise culture, grow the Taiwanese operation to march onto the world stage, and build the UTG brand as one recognized worldwide with superior quality.

UTG EUROPE
As a result of its global planning, Leapers USA further established a distribution center in 2012 in the vicinity of Frankfurt, Germany. With 21,000 square feet for operation, UTG EUROPE started to provide local and customer friendly sales and service to the European market. Through years of endeavor, it has received high praises and support from clients in the region and further increased the reach and influence of the UTG brand in the European market.
MILESTONES
2019

Began exhibiting at MILIPOL Paris, the leading event for homeland security and safety.
2018

Established UTG Taiwan manufacturing center to add new product lines and further support customers globally.
2015

Added USA manufacturing capacity with more CNC and polymer injection molding machines, with US made products reaching 40% of revenue.
2014

Launched US Cerakote finishing operation; expanded US injection molding production; commenced large scale DTC order fulfillment.
2013

Launched UTG world class wireless and paperless order fulfillment center.
2012

Established UTG Europe Distribution Center in Germany to support international customers.
2011

Doubled UTG PRO US manufacturing contents with over 50 SKUs.
2009

Established UTG PRO USA manufacturing plant to make our 1ST quad rail handguard

Continued the horizontal integration of different product categories for one-stop accessory shopping.

Began exhibiting at the IWA SHOW in europe.

Purchased our 1st 14,000 sq. ft. commercial building for business growth.

Began distribution of tactical soft goods and solar products.
